Difficulty Bonus
January 31, 2025
⚔️ With the Holidays behind us, this early 2025 update delivers another most-asked-for-feature: Difficulty Bonuses! ⚔️
You can now earn bonus XP, Gold 🪙 and +1 Tier Weapon Loot⚔️ when you play a difficulty higher than your recommended level!
The challenge gets harder but you will be rewarded for your efforts. Playing with high level players in the community (or by yourself) will pay off with faster leveling up and better weapon drops. A new display on the dungeon scanner will show you what the difficulty bonuses are for the selected dungeon and difficulty level.
The decorations in the Outpost have been put away, but Cupid💘has been busy preparing some treats for Valentines day. A new Flair cosmetic DLC is available to kit out your avatars:🦸Capes and Cloaks!
Additionally, there is a special Valentines cosmetic DLC which includes shiny armor tint colors in Pink, Crimson and Shining White as well as a Winged 🪽 Helmet and Heart-shaped Sunglasses 😎. These of course are optional, but they do look great :) Check them out in the Outpost. Again, we thank you if you're inclined to purchase the DLC which supports the team and the game!
Finally, another big feature in this update is a refresh of the Crystal Hunt pyramids. You'll have more fun than ever earning Exo Points now. This update ended up being larger than we expected, but it is chock full of quality of life improvements too.

-
With the new Quest OS v60 update, Quest Battery Saver mode will make the game run at 72 fps resulting in non-optimal visuals, physics and player experience ( vs the game’s default 80 fps experience). Additionally, on the Quest 3, Battery Saver mode disables Enhanced Visuals.

Build Notes
-
This update primarily removes the Holiday Update assets, rebalances some stuff and fixes some bugs. We hope you enjoyed the Holiday event but it was time to put up the Christmas decorations, disable the hologram trees and get back to business!
-
Improvements
-
Reduced Bomber Imp damage
-
Improved UI and description of the private room code entry (Note: Come up with a code and share it with your friends. Everyone will need to type it in to join together.)
-
Updated the credits to include more of our playtesters and music composers
-
Increased the amount of fireballs a fireball staff can shoot per gem
-
Boss enemies can no longer be frozen. That said, hitting a boss with an ice staff or ice weapon will still do damage.
-
Added a cooldown before a player can get refrozen again
-
Rebalanced OP crossbow damage with the reload perk. Each Reload Perk tier reduces 7.5% damage per bolt/shot. They are still very powerful, but it brings the damage down a bit to be reasonable.
-
Reduced Elite Bat and Spider health. I think we can all agree the bats were OP and annoying.
-
Improved cosmetic loot chests so that if you have collected all cosmetics, you will either get a random weapon drop instead, or sometimes a “All Cosmetics have been unlocked!” message
Fixes
-
FIXED: Can’t load “Please wait.. loading game” issue some people were experiencing.
-
FIXED: Dungeon Raids that never started the end combat encounter
-
FIXED: Navmesh issues in some dungeon chambers which cause enemy pathing issues, or teleport issues
-
FIXED: Missing terrain in one of the dungeon chambers for a specific biome
-
FIXED: Various dungeon chamber visual and technical issues
Known Issues

Greetings Explorers!
Christmas is almost here, and here in Eternity, we wanted to share the festive cheer with our adventurers and hope you have as much fun experiencing it as we did in making it for you!
The Frostbound Holiday Update is now live!
Take a look at the release notes and have a sneak peek of the new features, bug fixes, and improvements that Frostbound is bringing to the (Christmas) table:
New Features
-
Holiday update to the Outpost and Underworld Realm!
-
New Holiday cosmetics to collect!
-
New Holiday weapons: Santa’s Fireball Staffs and Candy Cane Axes
-
Snowballs and Christmas tree ornaments to throw and break!

New seasonal snow areas in Underworld!
-
20+ new dungeon chambers added!
-
Added Private Room Codes to make joining and playing with friends even easier:
-
Access them via Main Menu > Multiplayer > With Friends > Private Room Code
-
Solo Play and the Tutorial now function in an ‘Offline’ mode and are immune to disconnects. Note: WiFi is still required though to load and save the player save games to the cloud.

Dungeon difficulty can now be set by the host before launching a mission. The previous ‘recommended’ difficulty is selected (and labeled) by default.

-
Arrows and Crossbow Bolts can now be grabbed, nocked and loaded via Index Trigger (and Grip Trigger)
-
New dungeon music tracks

-
Added a gender switch button to the Main Menu character browser to change the gender on your avatar if necessary
